        Upcoming Events & Services

        April 7 - Worship Service

        “Honoring our Wholeness”

        Rev. Rebecca Froom

Our faith tradition affirms “the inherent worth and dignity of every being,” including ourselves. We so often live with self-doubts and negative self-images, wondering “Am I enough?” “Am I still worthy of love and care even with all my flaws and my failures?” On this first Sunday of April when we begin to reflect on the month’s theme of wholeness, we turn our attention to the importance of honoring our whole selves.

        April 14 - Worship Service

“In the Presence of One Another”

        Rev. Rebecca Froom

On this Sunday when we welcome new members into our congregation, we reflect on how we find and create wholeness through relationships and within community.

        April 21 - Worship Service

        “To Be Made Whole”

Rev. Rebecca Froom and Joan McDonald

In this arts-infused multigenerational service we reflect on Passover, Easter, and Earth Day. In their own way, each of these holidays and holy days speak about the possibilities for renewal, resurrection, and wholeness that can be found beyond suffering, death, and brokenness.

        April 28 - Worship Service

         "Already Broken, Already Whole."

Rev. Fred Small, guest worship leader

A glass vase will one day shatter.  If we accept it as “already broken,” Buddhists advise, we may appreciate it more while it is whole.  In this sense, everything is already broken: our bodies, our relationships, our planet.  But at the soul level we are also “already whole”—innocent, intact, and everything we need to be at this moment.

        We Welcome You…

whomever you are, to United First Parish Church, also known as the “Church of the Presidents” in Quincy Center.

Worship Services are held Sundays at 10:30 a.m. from the Sunday after Labor Day until Mid-June.  Services include music, readings, and sermons by our minister, guest ministers, or a lay-member of congregation.

Our readings and sermons draw from Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu Buddhist, and other spiritual writing.  Childcare service is available for free from 10:15am until 11:45am.  During the summer, the congregation's lay-led services are held in the parish hall.

After service, coffee and refreshments are served in the Parish Hall.  Newcomers are especially welcome, and are encouraged to ask questions at the Social Hour.

We are now handicap-accessible, with an elevator that reaches all levels of our church, wheelchair-accessible ramp and automatic-opening door into our building, and an ADA-approved wheelchair-accessible restroom.

        It's in our hands.
